Lt. Tamulevich Surprise Radio Guest, Tears Ensue
Midshipmen have woken up recently to find a beacon of fresh air on the radio waves. This bastion of honest and entertaining commentary came from the new morning radio talk show, DPR. DPR, short for “Dirty-Prior-Radio” aired weekdays from 0600 to 0700 on radio channel 89.7 and on NADN Ch. 52. DPR was tuned into by many Mids during their morning routines and could often be heard at Midshipmen Physical Therapy in the morning.
Recently, during the weekly award ceremony, the men of DPR sought to award the “Hot-Midshipwoman of the Week” award to a female Midshipmen blessed with a keen intellect and of the highest aptitude. Minutes after granting this decoration, a surprise guest graced DPR with his presence.
During the broadcast, Lt. Tamulevich decided to drop in for a special guest spot. The Lieutenant kicked down the door and came in gun’s blazin’. According to one bystander “it all happened so fast, one minute everything was alright, next thing we know, there are tanks, planes, depth charges, DDGs and Sonobuoys everywhere. I was scared for my life.”
Dirty-Prior-Radio was subsequently shut down because they were not supporting the moral aspect of the Mission of the Naval Academy, only the physical and mental aspects. A barbershop fan of the show, wanting to only be known as “Ludacris” told The Fork his feelings on the cancellation of his beloved morning show, “dam dat is wak, wuds ole dog posed to ‘isten to on ‘is mornin commute…wak.” Due to recent allegations, DPR will be moved to satellite radio and will available on Sirius.
